Great Borgata Visit!

Well we went to the Borgata on Wednesday night and had a very good night. Hit bonuses on 26 machines 14 made it online. Did not hit any triple digits but had a few very close ones. We have not had a handpay hit in almost 6 months which is a long drought for us. We seem to average 2or 3 a year at the level we play and it is a bit dissapointing so far this year. Played some machines which we have only seen in AC like John Wayne, Cats, Mine Mine Mine, Black Stallion. Also played Survivor, WOZ Wicked Witches, Zeus II, Whitewater, Stinkin Rich and Vibrant 7's with bonuses on all. All in all we left casino up 150 between us. Not bad for 5 hours of play and a dinner. Also picked up my new Borgata Black card, an upgrade from the red. Borgata has some nice advantages for the black card holder such as access to Amphora lounge, $10 fee to go to buffet, which is great. Free parking and different events for just black card holders. We are also Diamond at Harrahs, Premium at Parx, Platinum at Mt Airy and Blue at Sands, premium cards all. I will do video or article one of these days to show how to earn these cards or trade up to these cards at minimal expense for maximum enjoyment at your favorite casino. Back on Track!

Well it's been quite a week. tuesday at the Sands was a small loss and just a few videos, nothing special. Wednesday at Mt Airy was just a bit better but just a couple of videos. thursday back at the sands was nice. Hit 14 bonus rounds and eight were good enough to put on YT. My big win came on Diamond Queen with a 125.00 win followed by another of 60. Wife had a few nice wins on Shimmer 60, Glacier Wild 80 and Banana King 65. We both came home winners. We were going to go to the new Parx casino on Friday night but the weather forecast of the blizzard coming stopped us and now Sat. night we have almost a foot of snow in the driveway and it's still coming down hard. Have no idea when we will get to a casino but you know it won't be long. Have a great week!

Took a break

Catching up!

It has been a while since posting because I have been diagnosed with Lyme disease. It seems I have been battling this for a couple of months but didn't realize it and then when I caught the flu it set the whole Lyme thing off. Feeling better since on the meds and I have slowed down but not stopped going to the casinos. A week ago at the Sands I hit the game Banana King pretty good and left a winner that day. Went to Sands a few days ago and did come out even but had I left sooner I would have been a solid winner. But that is a lament that we all sing at one time or another. Went to Sands again last night and my wife did great for her 5 trip in a row. I lost $60 but she came home up 150. We had some nice hits but not good video stuff and for the first time my wife got caught videoing at the Sands and she stopped on a good bonus hit.She had a nice line hit of $190 on aa Grand Monarch and I hit a $210 PowerBall with a pic but no video. We will be going to Mt Airy either tonight or tomorrow night and look forward to some new machines.

New section at the Sands.

Hello, This has been some week, it started with me getting the flu and then going to the casino 3 times and hitting some nice slots. The new section of the Sands at Bethlehem opened on Saturday night at midnight. They also opened two new eateries, BaM which is Emerils hamberger joint and Carnegie Deli a duplicate of the famous New York deli. Ate at the Carnegie and it was very good. The Sands has some new slots, Goldfish Armada with the transmissive reels, Sirens is a very nice game, I like the bonus rounds. In The Gold is a great game with nice bonuses, a little difficult to reach the top but looks like it will pay well. I will be playing these quite often in the future. There are more new ones that I will tell you about as I play them. One of the many concerns that people have is not knowing how to play a game before they sit down to play it. The on the job training can be expensive.LOL I am presently putting together a tutorial for different games so that people can check the game rules and paytables before they put their money in. If this is excepted and goes over well I will do more. For the 3 trips I made I came home ahead all 3 times Sands on Wed. - $265, Philly Park on Friday - $60 and Sands on Saturday - $120. I will be going to Sands on Tuesday night.

Fighting the Pig!!

Well I am an early victim of the swine flu. I started feeling lousy on the ride down to the Borgata on Sunday. It is a 2 hour ride and I felt fine when we started off but by the time we arrived I told my wife I don't know how long we have but when I say it's time to leave we have to go. So guess what the slot gods do? They proceed to bless us with 27 bonus rounds over the course of the next 4 hours. We both started with the Borgata slot dollars and never took any of our own cash out. Of the 27 bonuses only nine were good enough to make the YT videos. My wife never got below $120 ahead. I on the other hand was down to my last 20 just a couple of machines before we left. I then hit a Zeus for $65 followed by a Dream Time for $168. I was now up $200, so time to go. Once we were on our way home the flu started to kick in and I went right to sleep when we got home. Between chicken soup and Advil I have managed to come through this no differently then any other flu. It's now 4 days after the first symptoms and I feel good enough to write this and except for the residual congestion it has been a mild flu. Wife seems to have it just starting yesterday. If all goes well our next casino visit is to the Sands on Sunday. They are opening the new Carnegie Deli and Emeril's new hamburger joint called BAM. They are also opening the new slot area with an additional 250 new slots for now. A lot is up in the air for pa casinos as far as table games go. There is a lot of open space on this casino floor. Monday at the Sands on a hunch!

Went to the Sands on a hunch. Was not supposed to go tonight but I felt like it would be a good night. I walked in with only 9 bucks cash and 85 slot dollars bounce back coming. Wife had her usual 100 and some bounce back coming. I said if I turned my bounce back into a hundred cash we would leave. Played several different machines but no bonuses and no big line hits but I had turned 40 slot dollars into 50 cash.
Played a few more and was up to 110 cash and out of slot dollars but still no bonus rounds. I then put 50 cash into my do not touch pocket and decided to try for a bonus. I then played a Dragonfly and my luck started to turn as far as bonuses go.
This was a .75 bet and a 54 dollar win. Cashed out and put another 50 into the pocket and played on the rest to try for another bonus. Played a few more machines always coming away with more then I started with and got up to another 100. Played a Great Eagle for low bet and hit bonus, not great but a keeper. Then played Samurai Master at 2 cent level and 1.50 per spin. Hit real nice bonus of 180. Then a couple more here and there played a 100 Wolvews at $5 max bet and hit bonus, 17 bucks for a 10 spin bonus. This was not a keeper for a video. Then I moved to an Egypt where I hit a bonus round live. 40 pre-bonus and 90 bonus, nice keeper video. Dropped 150 on other games and hit a line hit on Falcon Queen for 100 and called it quits. Left up 300 for the night. Not bad for a hunch.

A Night at the Taj Mahal and Showboat Casinos!

This was a crazy night. We went to a wedding in South Jersey and since we were so close to AC we thought we would drop in for a couple of hours. We decided to go to Showboat and the Taj because they had some new machines that I wanted to play by subscriber request. Started at Showboat on a nickel WOZ regular and after 20 in nada. I then went to a Shimmer and ten bucks into a twenty I hit the diamonds for the bonus and a few spins later hit a Big Win and then a respin. It was a 150 winner so I new I would be playing on their money for a while. Then went to Taj and played 9 machines got 5 bonuses which all sucked by paying less then 10 times my bet. 100 Lions, Indy Jones, Tiki Talk, Reel Money, Shinboli, Hot Hot Penny, 50 Lions, Mr Cashman hit 3 times, less then $5 payoff for 1 dollar bet. It was about midnight and we needed some coffee and break. We decided after break to go for another fifty since we were down a hundred. We played a Davinci Diamonds and hit back to back bonuses. Only caught one on tape because I screwed up the record button again on this new camcorder. Then played a Riverbelle then Isis with bonuses that were ok on both. Gave us playing time. Then three straight losers, Sun Moon, Geisha, Wild Wins. Played Fools Fortune and had a decent bonus and then to Jaws, nada. We decided to go and went through Showboat to valet. On the way through we threw a 20 into a WOZ Glinda the Good Witch and had some decent playing time a bonus but nothing but additional playing time. No big hits other then Shimmer tonight which disappoints me for the subscribers that asked for specific games. This week will have a Sands and another AC trip and maybe a Mt Airy. Remember,a bonus is just an extended line hit.

Went to the Sands last night with my wife. My not doing well streak continued. My wifes string of hitting bonuses continued. I hit 4 bonus rounds, only one for more then ten times my bet. I recieved $105 in slot cash and my wife got $85. I managed to turn the slot cash into $30 real cash. Wife turned 85 slot cash into $130 real cash. She hit five bonuses. Here is the order of bonuses. When we walked in the first machine played, she hit Hot Hot respin 2 cent for bonus and cashed out $75. I went to a Swords of Honor 25 slot cash in $4 out. I then hit a Red Lions 25 slot cash in $6 out. We played side by side on a Arctic Fox and we both hit the bonus. Me at .25 bet and her at .50. She won 9 bucks I won 7. I never play at this level but I was killing time sitting next to her. We played a Dragonfly and nothing. Moveed to a Planet Moolah and a 1.25 max bet hit bonus and won $8. Totally sucked. We moved to a Arctic Diamonds and hit decent bonus. Then moved to a Arctic Dreaming and hit another bonus. Both are up on YT. We played a Pompei and nothing, then a Wheres the Gold and at .50 bet only won $7. We went to eat at Cobalt and after dinner played a Banana King for first time and nada. We played our last machine, Grand Monarch never went tobonus and left. Casino was getting more people in when we left about 9pm. So basically I had bad night and wife did well considering she never went into her own cash and left with 130. I never played my own cash, only theirs because I just didn't feel lucky. Some days I just shoulda stayed home!

Yesterday was one of those days when I was almost perfect at picking the bad slot machine. I hit 11 bonuses yesterday, and only 3 made the cut and 2 of them just barely. 8 bonuses were under 10 dollars with me filming two 10 to 15 minute videos trying to catch a live hit only to win $3.75 bonus round on a $1 per spin Wolf Run. It cost me $50 bucks trying to chase that bonus. Now I'm a little on tilt and go to a Stinkin Rich and try to catch one there. $50 bucks later no win, no bonus. Now I decide that maybe it isn't my day and just play what calls me. Well I didn't hear a thing so I walked around playing what was available. Bonus on Poppit - 4.35 on Night Sky - 9.80, on Great Eagle 2cent - 10.60, on Red Lions - 6.75 & 11.25. I also hit a bonus on Luigis Pizza -5.50, Tigers and Dragons - 8.90 and the ultimate insult on a Miss Kitty, on max bet of 2.50 a 6.25 bonus. This was my sisters birthday so I collected myself emotionally and then the rest of the family and off to eat at St. James Place. Love the food here, their salmon is great. After the meal we played for another hour. I hit a Swords of Honor for $112 but still ended the night down 3 bills. I expect to make a quick trip one night this week, just don't know which night yet. Went to the Mt. Airy Casino last night with my wife on a whim. We went up to see the grandkids on Halloween and since we were a 1/2 hour from Mt. Airy Casino we just said lets stop in for a quick visit. Big mistake for me. We sat down at different machines with me starting at a Carnival of Mystery and hitting to $30 line hits but no bonuses. Wife hit a nice bonus on a couple of different games, Great Eagle no video, a Mr Cashman, Running Wild and a line hit on Crimson Fire. She was up over $250 at this point. I meanwhile was hitting bonuses of little value. A Fish Tails, Creepy Cash(it was Halloween), Mystic Temple and a Chinatown. We then went to eat at Betty's diner, a diner inside the casino. After eating we went to the machines again but the break didn't change my luck and my wife hit some bonuses but was slowly grinding down her winnings. She had some nice hits on a Slotsky and another Running Wild, no video on that one because security lady was talking to her when the bonus hit! I had a couple more throwaway bonus vids and that was it for the night. I was down about $150 for the night and she finished up about $120. So not a real bad night but not the kind I like either. We are going to the Sands at Bethlehem today. We are taking my sister there for her birthday. She is not a gambler so we will pretty much do or play whatever she likes. Talk to you later.

My First "You Are There Bonus"

I just returned from the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Me and wife have other plans for tonight so I decided not to waste my $100 slot cash coming from MoSun so I went at the last minute. 1:45 to get there, stayed and played for 1 hr and 1:45 to home. I had a very productive afternoon. Never touched my own cash and I walked out with $300 of their cash. but this isn't what has me excited. I have been wanting to do a live bonus hit. That is where I start filming as soon as I start playing and hope to hit a bonus during that game. Well today was the day I would try it, but I did have my reservations because there were pluses and minuses. The plus was that I would catch a bonus live and that's pretty much it for the pluses. The minuses were three. The first being logistics, in that, instead of filming for just a few minutes at a time I would be filming for up to 10 to 15. Trying to not be obvious taping for a couple of minutes is tough, doing it for 15 would be out there. The second would be film quality. Holding a camera in the manner in which I hold it would not be conducive to a good picture holding it for a long time. The third would be expense. By doing it this way I am really chasing a bonus from the moment I sit down. We all know how expensive that can get, both financially and emotionally. I finally said ah what the hell, let's try it. I now have a list of games that have been requested by subscribers. If you are one of them, please let me know if you want to be acknowledged. Today I will put the vids up without doing it. I played quite a few games in the hour I was there, starting with 25 slot cash into Miss Kitty, nothing out. Then to a Neptunes Kingdom II, same deposit and result. Then I went to a Brazilian Beauty. Put 25 slot cash in, a couple of spins at .60 then up to .90 and hit the bonus about 20 bucks into it. The bonus paid 70 and I decided to cash out. After cash out I had 5 slot cash left and played them off. Last spin hit another bonus and I won $90. Then I moved to a Pyramid of the Kings and nada. Then to Mr Cashman. He popped up twice but never won more then 5 bucks. Thne I went to a Power Ball where I hit a bonus for $96. Then to a Hot Shot where I hit for $38 on first spin. Then to a Kileua where I hit 2 bonuses in 10 spins, neither of which paid more then $5. I played a Blue Moon hit bonus again less then $5. It was time to leave and while heading for the cash redemption I passed a Sopranos and sat down and said I would max bet, 3 bucks, 5 times. On fifth spin I get truck bonus, win $20 and cash out. My cash out ticket was $350 and I never took cash out of my pocket Grabbed a coffee at the donut shop on the way home and here I sit, a happy guy. More because I got the live hit then the cash. Sands - 10-27-09

This tuesday started off with me wanting to go to the Sands during the day because I was recieving $105 in slot dollars and I had some subscriber requests for some games to play. Called my wife to tell her and proceeded to hear what a bad day she was having at work. I asked her if she wanted to go to the Sands after work for some down time and she jumped at it. So after she got home from work we left and was there by 7pm. The casino was fairly empty but the banks that are popular were full.All the machines I played on my free play were terrible. I could not hit a bonus on the first 3 and did hit a bonus on the next 2 but they were less than $5 wins. I was only betting .75 cents or less because I wanted to give my theory of lower bets at casinos where players typically bet low will offer better bonuses at those lower bets. I was pretty much sticking to betting 2 per line. At this point my theory didn't look to smart. Whenever we are not doing well we always take a break for food or ice cream or something, just to break the string of losing. We went for ice cream at the Marketplace and killed about 15 minutes. We went back on the floor And things picked up right off, almost. A subscriber request for Stinkin Rich was a frustrating bonus. We were betting the minimum of $1 per spin and hit the bonus for 35 spins. The last time we had hit for this many spins on this game was about a year ago and won over 600. If you watch the video you will see that after 20 spins it was only $5. At the end it picked up and we finished at $46, but this is still a disapointing bonus. We played more hitting more bonuses for small keep you playing hits but no walkaways. I played a game called Greatest Games of the West and had a nice hit of $44 at .50cents bet. We were down about $50 for the night and moved to a Star Wars. Not my favorite game but my wife wanted to play it. We only bet .60 cents a spin. On about 15th spin we get the cloud bonus, my favorite bonus on this game. We got a bunch of spins and won over $75 bucks. After the bonus was over, on the very next spin we get the same bonus and win a ton of spins. When the reels locked with a front row lock the next spin locked the next row and I knew we would have a nice bonus. We finished with a $127 win. We headed for the door hitting a couple more machines on the way out. The videos are going up now, I hope you enjoy. Sands - 10-25-09

The plans we make, often don't go according to plan. We headed out to the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs but wanted to stop at the Sands to use some slot cash and have a late lunch. We arrived about 3:30 and went on a string of 11 bonus rounds that that put us up about $200 and decided to have dinner and not go to the Sun. After dinner we hit 13 more bonuses. Some good some not so good but we were having a really good time. The casino wasn't crowded but it was busy which is the way we like it. We had a lot of fun and picked up some cash for the gambling kitty. Only about 10 of the bonuses are good enough to put up on YT so I will be putting them up later today. I have had some requests to play some slot games that people like. I find I really enjoy doing this so if you have a slot game you would like to see, let me know and if I can find it I will play it.

Today is Sat. 10-24-09. We just returned from our trip to Mount Airy Casino in the Poconos but before I start about today I will tell you about yesterday. It generally sucked all the way around. I went solo which I don't like to do but wife had other commitments, a basket auction run by her sister for the school. It started for me at the Sands Casino at Bethlehem at about 12:30 to 1:30. I dropped the $105 in slot cash and another 100 of my cash and didn't hit a single bonus. Very unusual for me. I should have taken the hint and went home but I hoped my luck would be better at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
I was at the Sun at about 3:00 and dropped the $110 slot cash bonus in about an hour with only 3 bonuses, 2 on Cleopatra and 1 on Enchanted Kingdom. I grabbed a snack at Johnny Rockets, then went back to the machines. I hit several bonuses on different games but they all stunk. Bets were between .80 an 1.25 but none paid more then 10 times my bet. I believe for a bonus round to be considered decent it must pay 20 times your bet. To be considered a nice hit it should be 30 times your bet and up. A great one is 100 times your bet and up. No matter what your bet level is. A 20 dollar win on a .20 cent bet is a great win for that level.
Well I hit a small bonus on a Tigress that seemed to change my luck. I hit 2 line hits for a total of $70 bucks. I moved to a Glitz machine and hit 3 line hits. The three were for a total of $85. I moved to the Glitz machine next to me and hit a line hit for $108. I had covered most of my losses and headed for the door. Tomorrow is another day.

Now for the play of today at Mount Airy. It was my wife and I and she brought a lady she works with. It was a great day for my wife. She had the 3 big hits of the day. She started off on a Glitz that I did not get to video as I had gone to the restroom. She hit for $110 in a bonus. On the very next machine a Great Eagle she hits for $400 and when I started to video the bonus I didn't have the camcorder on. Lucky she caught it and I was able to get the rest of the round. After that I went around the corner. I had downloaded 25 slot dollars into a Carnival of Mystery and cashed out at $65 cash because of a nice line hit. I went and hit some small Glitz bonus rounds and she moved on to a Slotsky. She called me over to video and went on a run of 6 bonus rounds and a nice line hit. I only kept 3 of the bonuses because the other 3 stunk. I played a few dud games and then hit a couple bonuses on a Jade Elephant. If you watch the video you'll see that the one bonus was hit on my last spin, only 5 credits left. The wife moved over to a bank of Instant Winner machines. I was having no luck so I took a walk over to her just in time to video her Instant Winner $240 hit. She had just moved over to that machine and just pushed the button when the bonus hit, a Scattertainment. We then went to eat at Betty's Diner and after eating we hit a few more bonuses but were starting to drain the bankroll so we hit the road. I had a losing day, my wife about $500 to the good and her friend about a hundred to the good. A nice Saturday trip all around.

Hello, I'm back from the Sands. The trip to and from was smooth with little traffic. Arrived at the Sands valet at exactly 8pm. I showed my mother-in-law to the electric roulette game. This is the one where there are about twenty seats in a oval shape around the wheel. I showed her how to play and she made the minimum bets of 5 dollars. She put a 50 in and before I left her she was already up about $130. She would leave the casino up $40 after 1 hour.
I started my night with a Pelican 1.25 a spin, 30 slot dollars in 0 out. I went to Mystical Journey where I put 30 slot bucks in 1.50 a spin, 0 out. The night was looking a little bleak at this point but I never give in. I decided to try the Night Sky game again today after my hit last time here. So in goes my last 30 slot dollars and on about my 5th or 6th spin of 1.20 per spin. I hit the 3 telescopes for the bonus round of 15 free spins. The bonus began not so great but I was at $25 at spin 13 when I saw a lower screen full of meteors. This spin was $111.00 and I was smilin. The bonus ended with a win of $150.00. After this I moved to a Fairy Play where I bet 2 bucks a spin and dropped 40. I then moved to an Egypt where I dropped another 20 at $1 a spin. I was feeling a little uneasy and decided to play a game I don't play to often a Tigress. I put a 20 in and was down to 8 bucks at 1.25 a spin when I hit a bonus that paid me $38. I moved to a Tigress right next to it and hit the bonus for $15. I moved to a Red Lions where I dropped a twenty. I then moved to a Buffalo where I dropped another 20. I slid over to a Pompei where I hit a line hit for $55. Cashed out and moved to a Prophecy where at 1.25 a spin I hit a bonus after just a few spins. I picked the 12 feather prophecy. This game played well as I won $138 in the bonus but failed the prophecy. I cased out the win and popped a 20 in. I kept playing and hit the bonus again but only won $15. I put a 20 into another Red Lions and lost it. Wife called me on the cell and it was time to go.
Tonight was one of my favorite nights when I never took cash out of my pocket and came home up $180 after expenses of gas, food, valet and a couple of sodas. The casino was pretty empty but active. You could find an empty game of your choice but there was always someone around you. Tomorrow is Mount Airy Casino so far, it depends on a couple of work issues.

First blog, going to the Sands

The first thing I would like to say is thanks for coming. I deciced to use the name Slot Posse because of the number of people who are following my videos. We all seem to have the same casino and slots interests. I have seen quite a few unusual occurances in casinos, humorus, sad and disconcerting and this is an outlet to tell people about them.

Today 10-20-09, my wife,my mil and I are going to the Sands Casino at Bethlehem, PA. We will leave when my wife gets out of work, picks up her mom and then me. My mil rarely goes and when she does she has a 1 hour limit. If we decide to eat, this cuts into the hour ;>) She is 81 and somewhat confused by video slots and the sheer size of the casinos. With a 1 hour limit on play I will probably stick with nickel machines and hope for a nice hit and run. For me the plan is today the Sands, tomorrow Mount Airy Casino & Resort, Friday the Sands again and Saturday Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. I will post the okay videos on YT and do reports that night or the following day. I will be playing on the bounceback slot dollars they give me this week which between the 3 casinos adds up to $305 this week. We may go to AC on Sunday night to take advantage of offers for another $80, it all depends.

The reason for starting this blog is twofold, people have asked me to do reports on my trips and it is somewhat of a challenge for me to track exactly what machines, what denomination, what casino, what location and when played. I find myself excited to actually be going to a casino for a purpose other then just to play a slot machine.
